I have Michelin XPS on the 5er and they have less than 2" clearance and the tire shop said that would not hurt. FYI They handle anything from small car tires to the Huge tractor tires and have been in business forever. Michelin owns BFG and the Commercial TA's are a nice tire. A couple years back they had a recall on the TA's and I was able to get an equal trade on the XPS.
