I had the 225/75R16 LT BFG Commercial T/A/s on my previous rig and had them moved to current rig when I bought it. They were not on the recall list. I won't bore you with further details but I hone of the tires throw the entire cap and then blow out. Two others had broken belts that I found while turning the tires with the rig jacked up.
Local dealer did not want to help with adjustments as I bought the tires while living in another state. I contacted BFG and the first question was" "What type vehicle were they own.?" When I responded that they were on my trailer they told me I was endangering myself, family and public by putting LT tires on a trailer. Got passed on to a supervisor who told me the same thing. Theyt would not warranty those tires.
There are some on here that say they have spoken to BFG and they were told they would honor the warranty. What I have not heard of is any one saying the warranty was honored and damages paid on their trailer from BFG, Wife's cousin, upon my recommendation bought 5 of those tires. He had one blow out and another with a broken belt on those same BFG's.
On speaking to BFG I was very courteous during all the conversations. I understand they are now made differently and I think it is because of the bad design that led to the recall. You can read more if you are interest buy search for my posts. The BFG tires I had on my previous truck were 245/75R16 LT went bad before the recall so I paid full price for 4 new ones. Three of the 4 had broken belts.
I would suggest you call BFG headquarters and ask about a warranty on them used in trailer service. I would like to know their answer
Good Luck
