Having worked in the oil fields and watched them drag their trailers around, it means only one thing, when they say they are reporting good durability, they made at least one trip in and out without a blowout. Trailer tires in the oil industry have a short life, use them and replace them at least weekly. I have seen 3 brand new tires on a brand new truck, bought that day, blow out on the road into a rig.

LT tires are the only way to go, if you no longer trust Maxxis tires.

Calvin, a 16/32 tread depth and wide tread design, this tire is build more like a LT tire than other ST tires on the market.

Page 32 here gives more details. Tire above weighs 43.1 pounds. One rated at 3420 weighs in at 40.9. Looks like this company buys into my long standing weight theory!

Where did you find the speed rating? I only found one hear say reference to Q! Nothing in writing.

This one looks like it just might be worth a try!

Unfortunately, options are *VERY* limited with 15" wheels.

Check with a Cruiser dealer for a set of 16" wheels -or- aftermarket supplier.

Stay away from ST tires (especially Marathons) - get a quality LT
tire - such as Michelin XPS Ribs.

Several internet sites to compare dimensions of tires - for clearance etc.
Enter what you have -vs- what you want to use. (Results in inches).

If you decide to up the load range, be sure your RIMS are rated for it. Rating usually stamped on rear, or in valley UNDER the tire.

I would go up a load range or size. That might also mean LT.
Otherwise I would stick with Maxxis or even Marathon over the unknown Maxmiler.
