I have been looking at the same type of protection for my 5th wheel. I will be going with the 12 ft. sides. Don't forget most of them will have a cross support bracket that goes from your sidewall to roof supports. When the roof brackets sit on the sidewall it does give you extra height higher that the 12 ft. wall. The one I was looking at had a center height of 14'4"-14'6". Living in the northeast I need one that will hold a snow load. I found some info and diagrams on metalcarportdepotllc.com. I have talked to them and the person was very helpful in explaining to me exactly what type of structure I would need for my area that I live in. Also remember you might come home one day with a taller RV! I am still in the looking process.
