Hi,I am looking for a mid-bunk 5th wheel and trying to find the various options on the market. I have found several so far. Anyone have some suggestions that I should check out? I would prefer a model that has a light enough pin weight to be towed by a 3/4 ton truck. I will need to buy a bigger truck to tow this rig, but really would prefer a 3/4 ton over a 1 ton. thanks for your help!Matt

Not sure what your truck is rated for but I would look at the Cedar Creek Siverback for this floorplan, I like it and had great service from the factory when we had a Cedar Creek. Chesaco sells them but I would not buy there as their service has not received very good reviews, go to Pa and I would recommend Stoltzfus RV in Adamstown Pa. Good luck on your search.

I personally didn't care for any that i saw. I would rather two bunks in the room then 1 sofa that many seem to put in. I also highly recommend Stoltzfus. I purchased both my campers there and the service is fantastic. Lee the salesman is also very good. He knows his campers and doesn't push at all. Hands you a set of keys and lets you go look. One thing i noticed though is recently there inventory is really dropping. They are about 10mins from my work.

Silverbacks tend to have the loft with one bunk ( I have one) but I saw a Montana that had the two bunks.

I just bought a new 2017 Jayco HT 30.5MBOK. It has a rear living area, mid-bunk room, 4 slides. I pull it with my GMC Sierra 2500HD. We are very happy with this rig, it's the perfect layout for my family and only 37' overall length. There are a few Youtube videos on it if you want to see the layout.

We’re super happy with our Chapparal 360IBL. Mid bunk room has two beds. Great kitchen.

Take a look at the Grand Design Reflections 367 BHS. We just purchased a 2018. Great model for our long term stay.My wife uses the room for a office for work while at our seasonal site and grandkids love the loft.

I like the compact floorplan. However it maybe a bit too limiting.
Bunk room appears to be for for sleeping only vs. being able to hang out as well.
Very little counter space.It is fairly lightweight with a 12K GVW.

The bunkroom is useful for sleeping 2 kids only and storing their stuff. Not made for lounging or hanging around. The rear living is great but has limited kitchen cabinet storage. For my wife and I and 2 grandkids, this layout is perfect and the size of this rig is manageable for me. I wouldn't want anything much larger.

I saw a Laredo 380MB at a show this spring that was a nice unit. A little pricey in my opinion but it has what you need. It would be at the upper range of a 3/4 ton but still definitely do able. I towed have towed a Open Range 367BHS, which is basically the same weight but shorter only 37ft long. All over this summer with a 3/4 ton that was just fine with it behind. Im not a fan of 1 ton pickups I think they ride considerable worse. IDK maybe its my head that convinces me of it but I think the ride unloaded is unbearable.

The jayco sounds perfect though. I dont like them with jack knives in the bunk room either. Who would want to sleep on a jack knife sofa for more than a night or 2. Trifolds are much better if you ask me. But I haven't seen a trifold in a mid bunk room because the rooms are narrow.

Love my Open Range btw, I think they are well built and a nice level of fit and finish. They have a model with a trifold in a mid bunk room and a loft. 371MBH but it will be to heavy for a 3/4 ton.

Why not buy a one ton? About the same price, same size, same ride, same mileage. What is there to gain with a 3/4 ton?
