Mileage

2004 F250 4 dr sb diesel. 18.5-20 mpg empty 70 mph. Pulling 36' Augusta Flex 12,750# Fifth wheel 9.5 - 11 MPG 63 mph with cruise control. Wind affects mileage but not pulling power.

I have a 2012 F350 Lariat FX4 pulling a 44RLS Work and Play TH and I gave up on trying to figure mine. Too many varibles to contend with hills, wind, traffic and so on,Mine will go all the way from Full to empty without stopping, however my bladder will not any more so when I stop I top off and go again. If you sit around and figure up how much it is costing to have a good time, then chances are you are not going to have one. BTW, it does average 10-11 on the highway @ 70mph.

We usually get 10-11mpg pulling the Gulfstream (32') with the 2000 F350 Dually Crew Cab 7.3 Diesel 3.73 gears I keep it under 65mph and 2000rpm. When running without the trailer right around 15-16 mpg.

Just got back from our first trip with new 5Wheel from Ohio to Gulf Shores AL.
Strong head wind going down- 8.2 MPG - 65 MPH (glad I wasn't pulling my old Rig)
Slight head wind on return trip - 9 MPG 65-70 MPH

I don't see 10+ MPG in my future unless I have a very strong tail wind.

You're going to find that, on average, people are getting about 9-11 when towing at 65 +/- and 18-25 when not. Personally, I get right at 11 when towing at 65, 11.5 when towing at 60 and, usually, 18-19 when not towing at 65. Strange, though, that the best mileage I've ever gotten was last October when going up to Colorado, traveling at 70-75, but I had a large chest freezer up behind the cab, and I think that seriously helped me.

I get the same mileage with my 2005 F350 Diesel Dually CC.

Reset the calculator on the Eastern Shore of Chesapeake Bay before heading out last spring. Did not look at it again till we got to the Seattle area. The average was 10.5mpg. That included more than a little mountain towing plus the non towing miles which not that many. 140,000 miles on the truck. Milaege has been consistant the whole way.
