Missouri Trout Opener
The Missouri Trout opener is March 1st. Just for the heck of it I checked and there was only 1 open campsite. They have 3 campgrounds in the park with over 300 sites! I would love to attend an opener ...

When are you going in April MO Trout Bum? We are going to be there the last week in April with a buddy of mine and his wife. Can't hardly wait! We will be staying in Camp ground 2.
I have seen several videos the Tim from Tim's Fly Shop has posted about fishing in the winter. It's all catch and release correct? Happy camping, John
Hi John, we will be there the first weekend of April. We generally stay in campground 1, however have camped in all five over the years.
Yes, winter is catch and release, and Friday through Monday only. Hope to see you there some time!
We usually stay in campground 1 also. Couldn't get two sites together in the area I wanted so we decided to go to campground 2 this time. Haven't stayed in 2 for along time.
We will be at Montauk State Park in August.
