Ahhh!Good advice. Maybe in this case it makes a difference that he is not trying to sell me anything but helping to evaluate a rig from a private party. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

My MS dealer friends say you must be carrying your gold bar collection with you.
We do carry a lot because we full time. We are at 25% of trailer weight. Heavy but not out of line.
I wish on the gold bar tho!

Then why did you ask the question if you already knew the answer?

I just sent you a message to show what the real world pin weights are on many of the Mobile Suite trailers rolling along the highways. - jarmarExplorer

Your not listening, SRW is out IMO :B DRW Mega Cab is even a debate. You will need IMO, a long wheel base dually to haul that pin weight.
90 degree jack knife situations are rarely needed and I avoid them if possible, especially on pavement. If you need to jack knife the rig you chose a spot to small.
But I'm sure someone will tell you what you want to hear :R
Good Luck and happy camping!
Your kind speech overwhelms me. But this is advice based on your personal feelings, where is the evidence, where are the statistics?
Can I use this quote as evidence :Bjarmar wrote:
According to my sources, which included a MS dealer who tried it, a short bed Dodge cannot pull a mid 2012-2014 even using a slider hitch without damage to the TV.
BTW I did have a "IMO" in there somewhere :W - fj12ryderExplorer III

Yes, although a short bed dually is a pretty rare beast.
You can tow the space shuttle with a 1/2 ton pickup too.

Then why did you ask the question if you already knew the answer? My answer was meant to be ironic. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIWith 4,500# pin weight my 11 Ram Dually sits level and does not need airbags with my 36 SB3 Mobile Suites. From what I have seen the rear suspension on the Mega Cab is not rated for as much weight. If you were to swap the rear springs on the Mega to the same as my truck you would be fine in my opinion. That would be a fairly inexpensive fix.
Dually no matter what you decide.
Honestly I don't know it is windy when towing except for the increase in noise. Solid ride, very relaxing. - jarmarExplorer

As far as the 90 degrees goes we are talking about potential. The full extent of 14" back is only acheaved at that point. Your point that jack knife situations are rarely needed may be true but there is always that 'rare' occasion.
