Our two units we were discussing came down to the Montana we now have and the Jayco mid bunk as you are looking at. Neither of these units could you access the fridge in with the slides closed which was a prerequisite on our two Sandpipers. But, it hasn't made any difference. The only true thing we wanted was to be able to access a bathroom while traveling without opening a slide. It's not been a big deal for us with the fridge.
That being said, we have a frame issue in the nose of our unit that is going on now 2.5 weeks without a word from Montana or Lippert! Multiple videos and pics were sent as requested and all we have gotten is verification they received them. We are already out of one trip due to this and possibly a couple more. I'd always wanted a Montana, but now seriously questioning our decision. My friend here has a Jayco and will never have another due to serious quality control issues. These types of stories can go on and on, but find the one you can most live with and in the price range you want and go for it. Just like the Big 3 automakers, you'll get good ones and bad ones in each brand. Good luck in your choice.
