I also wonder why the mfg didn't do that. We have the same situation and ours has the doors. We store a lot of stuff up there.

thanks to all.
wife is so happy, she opens cupboards and says look how much room we have left. in our TT everything was so full.
we have done so much remodeling, cant wait to take a trip. January to AZ.

not sure why manufactures don't do more. all the drawers in coach are short. I took each out and added at least 4 more inches in depth.
