Motorcycle on 5ver.

The ones I have seen all had the trailer frame reinforced for quite a ways forward. Please do a lot of research before building your own. There are commercial ones available that you could probably study.

Thats an awful lot of weight to drop so far behind the axles. Will definitely unload your pin. After having my bicycle rack break on a rough road, I would not consider it.

800 lb plus the mechanism to lift it? You need one of those caster wheel totes and good reinforcement or double tow a trailer for the bike.

This has been discussed a lot, most don't think it is a good idea, especially for a bike that heavy. I have a factory receiver on mine, heavy 4" square tubing to frame. It's still just rated for 300 lbs, I think because of being so far behind axles, rather than strength limitation. I have a nice aluminum rack to haul my 230 lb offroad bike, but IMO, cannot be safely strapped on back of FW. Also sticker on ramp reads "not for use on back of RV trailer".

For 800 lbs you'd be best off with frame attached wheeled trailer.

I had a third axle installed to shorten the distance from the wheels to the rear of the camper and to carry the excess weight. The camper frame is 15 inches of 2x6 square tubing with sidewalls of 1/4". Most campers will not be able to support a lift and bike on the rear without modifications.

Mor/ryde makes a hydraulic lift and I asked them once about putting on a 5er and they didn't recommend doing it.
Now if you have a Tag Axle MH, that's a different story.

The caster wheel design may not be double towing? It's been talked about on here and you may find it when searchig
