After watching this I decided I'll have tubes welded in to support the existing frame and then add a double receiver motorcycle carrier on a beefed up bumper.

Time for a nice shape class 8 with a motorcycle side loader onto the deck. Once you’ve towed with 1850lbs-ft, retarder, and real brakes you might like.

Parking needs a bit more planning.

That is a safe looking unit but according to Idaho Tote's website, the Idaho Tote (which would be consider the same as your swivel trailer) is illegal in British Columbia.

Funny, I started a similar Thread on this a couple months ago, I did end up getting a 2011 KLR that comes in at 430# wet so I'm going to find a welder and get this rig reinforced.

Hydralift recommends a third axle too so you're probably correct.

It would require a trip south but you might also consider independent suspension if you haven't already. There may be a 2 "axle" option that could also provide additional frame reinforcements and certainly the disk brakes you want. The supplier already confirmed for me that a tandem option could be set to handle the weight of my heavy trailer and the hydralift. Ultimately I decided against IS because of the travel needed for installation but it remains a viable option.

Thanks for posting the picture. I'm guessing my trailer might be similar to yours in length. How heavy is the motorcycle you carry? How far from the centre of the rear axle to the rear of your trailer? If you're happy with it with only two axles maybe I could get by without adding a third axle.

My trailer is a 34' model that is actually around 36'. My bikes are all 550lb or less but the lift is rated for more.

The lift is a good solution for me because I only carry motorcycles 5-10 times a year these days and usually for long distances. I would not recommend a hydralift for weekly use (on a trailer) over a toy hauler. It's all a compromise and I opted for a better floor plan over the superior hauling capacity of a toy hauler. If I had to have a bike back there all the time, it might be a different story.

Excel stopped installing the HydraLift due to problems with an install on a 37' 37RKM Winslow. The frame sagged enough so the slides were not able to open. Excel ended up installing a third axle and it seems to have fixed that problem.

take a look at mightyhauler.com they will install on some 5th wheels .Keep in mind a 1000lbs added to rear will remove about 350lbs. from pin and both will be added to the axles about 1,400 lbs..Does your trailer have that much extra carrying capacity plus any frame strengthening that may be added.
