I have the chrome brackets on my Ultra that bolt to the bolts where your spotlamp bracket bolts and tie it down there. Heritage, I use the soft straps looped around the handlebars. Yes I still compress the suspension some and strap to tie downs in the floor, 2 toward the front and 2 toward the rear around crash bars on each bike so they can't move in either direction. I prefer to tie them that way in order to prevent bikes possibly rocking side to side and hitting each other. Just my preference.
