So I made it to Yreka and decided to stay they night. That was tough for the old girl. It is a pretty standard 1997 12 valve 5.9 & I am pulling16,000 lbs. Engine Temp got to 225 to 230 and I was holding the Turbo temp to under 1200 degrees more than once and speed of 28mph going up Grants Pass area, especially that 9 mile 7% grade stretch . Seems like of a lot of you folks have newer more powerful trucks so it is no big deal to you. There are diffidently some of you guys really do get it though that this is not one of those.
