Moving a 5th/W
A friend of mine has someone who needs a 5th/W moved about 280mi. What do you think I should get money wise. It's only one way.

I just won't move 5th wheels for folks. A buddy of mine moves several each spring and fall from a CG we stay at in the summer. He only moves them 5 or 10 miles but he does it for a flat rate of $50.00 each tow. I just feel like there is too much liability involved. If someone wants to own a 5th wheel then they can go out and buy a HD truck to pull it like I had to. Otherwise go buy a MH or class C.
The other problem is, who really knows what someone else's fiver really weighs? If they don't own a HD truck to pull their own rig they sure have never had it weighed. You might hook up to something with your 1 ton SRW truck and about half way through the trip discover the 5th wheel actually weighs about 25,000 pounds!
