On our previous TT we had to open the slide to access the bathroom. It wasn't too big of a deal but a little inconvenient. When we purchased our fifth wheel, I made sure to only consider floor plans that had refrigerator & bathroom accessible with the slides in. We stop all the time while traveling and use our own facilities as well make a sandwich etc. We never use the bedroom while in route but it is also accessible if need be. If the floor plan you are getting suites your family well, get it. Opening the slide to access the fridge is a minor thing and you are the only one who can say whether it is too big of a pain for you and your family or not. It will really depend on how often you plan to stop and need to access it. If it's just once in while, I doubt very seriously you will have many problems.
