A bottle jack is a great tool to have.
A *low profile* bottle jack will fit under most places you would want to use one.
Some "cribbing" will take up excess space.
You can make up the difference for a short jack, but you can't make a tall jack shorter!..;)

sure you can ... just make sure you have a shovel. Dig your tall jack down a bit and you now have a short jack.
I never had much luck digging on concrete or asphalt, but others luck may vary. Think I will stick to the shorter jack :)
