Our sincere and heartfelt condolences. We had similar this past summer ( in New Mexico) after a little off road excursion. Our horizontal frame (I beam) broke right at the point of juncture with the vertical frame. Our closet floor was “lifting” 6 to 8 inches, when the camper weight was placed on the hitch.
During repairs, we started shopping for a Trailer Saver hitch. We hirred-out our repairs (you’re a better man than me) in Arizona, after we discovered the broken frame. We picked up our new (to us) hitch on our trip back to Mesa, to get our 5er!
