I was told that LT tires used on trailer service is unsafe and they would not honor a warranty on what they considered an unsafe application. Honoring such a warranty would, in their opinion, place them in a position of responsibility for injury or damage. I am not trying to argue with you, just trying to determine why you made that statement. I have an open post on my failures, pictures and BFG response.
Michelin on several calls and emails told me the their XPS Rib was an excellent choice for a trailer.
There more misinformation than truth going on RV forums about tires. The only regulation for someone that replacing tires with ones is that meet the GAWR, however tire companies are turning the word "should" into "must" in regard to ST tires! We have been around and around on this for years. I am sure that tire companies have received letters from ST reps spelling out the dyer problems if they put on anything else.
Was your trailer manufactured and delivered with ST tires?

Delivered to dealer with ST tires. Don't know the name and wasn't interested as I had the BFG T/A's on my previous rig installed on the new rig before I would sign any papers with the dealer.
