Need Help picking a 5th wheel

DW and I are about to be empty nesters. We had popups and travel trailers when the kids were growing up. We are looking for a 5er that we can use as a full time unit, if we decide to. I am looking at two options - Forest River Black Diamond and a Artic Fox - both because they have WD hookups and they seem to have 4 season capabilities. If you have direct experience with either of these, we would like to hear about it.

Thanks in advance
  • Arctic Fox is a great 5er.

We have what's often referred to as a luxury toy hauler (if you have any kind of toys that you'd like to take along) by Grand Design. We have the Momentum 376TH that has a small garage under the bedroom. This model has only been out for a couple of years but already seems to be very popular with full timers and the factory has great customer service reviews.

    Here's a few pics of ours..... https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=111630.0
  • While I can't argue against the Fox (we are on our 2nd one)
    How deep are your pockets?
New Horizons will build exactly what you want (custom floor plans).
But they start at ~$100,000 and quickly pass $150,000.
  • Tho not on your list and have heard many good things about Fox, look into a new model from Heartland's Big Country 32XX R something. Looks like a really nice floorplan under 36'. If we didn't have a 3560 SS on order, very much would consider it. Heartland's Landmark, Big Horn and Big CountryL are advertised as 4 season use.

    X3!
Very well built, great frame, just heavy, most have huge payloads.
