need ideas for strange problem

Hope I posted this in right place but did not see forum for my problem.
To get right to it I have a rattlesnake in my fifth wheel. I was moving stuff around in the lower storage and heard it. It scared the **** out of me.
Any ideas how to get it to leave. Short of getting in there with a shotgun. If it can be gotten to easily the fire department will catch it and relocate it but it seems to hide real well.

  • I would contact a herpetologist in the area for help. Google it.

Do not be spreading gasoline fumes in your trailer unless you want to risk a disaster. Hopefully that was intended as a joke.
  • I would turn my furnace and oven all the way up and turn off the AC. Snakes cannot control their temperature like other animals. When it gets to warm in the rig the snake should leave
  • I think (but I am not sure -- you may want to google) that people who trap rattlesnakes use gasoline to chase them out of holes. Pour some gasoline in and around the FW where you think the snake is and the fumes will cause the snake to leave and you can "catch" it.

If this does no work gasoline follow by a match will solve your problem. .. . . .:B
  • Make a snake trap out of a box with a mouse or other bait in it. Fasten glue traps inside to catch it. When caught have the proper person use cooking oil on the glue trap to release it if desired.

  • If it was my fifth wheel I would either unloaded my shotgun on it or burn the RV to the ground. One of biggest phobias is snakes. :)
