Ours is 32ft 10 inches, and we would have loved to go smaller. The one we chose was the most bang in a small package. We had needs ( king bed, w/d, huge kitchen, and good quality, tons of storage ) that we refused to compromise on, since it is our home.
We cannot park in some of the State Parks here on the West Coast, since alot of them were built before the age of " large rv's" came around, but we have made do quite well over the last year and a half of full timing. We learned that we prefer full hook ups, and private rv parks in most places anyway, so it all worked out.
Only you and your honey can say what will work for you, and how much room you need.
