First, this is the first trip that I have traveled at the higher speeds for anything longer than a minute to get around someone. Normally I am in the 65 range which is why I have never had tire issues before I guess.
As for the suggestions to slow down and enjoy the trip, at no time did I feel as though the speed was reckless or unsafe. My setup is rock solid on the road and when the speed limit is 80mph and dead straight EVERYONE is flying past you so I was just stepping the speed up a bit to get in line.
It seems as though (without checking yet) that I may have to get new wheels as well to accomplish what I would like. I don't really want to do that so hopefully a set of tires can be found that will handle what I would like to do.
And I fixed that little spelling mistake in the topic title. Sorry.
Your choices in 15" tires is very limited. Chris
