There are better choices in a 15 inch tire such as the heavy duty Goodyear Cargo G26 in a size 225/70R15D rated for 2450 pounds on an LT scale and 99 mph speed rating .
The G26 fit your current wheels and wheel wells .
In recent history there have been 21 posters discussing Maxxis tire failures .
There are no published reports of ST tires other than an occasional puff piece article in RV magazines .
No in depth info is available .
Consumer Reports purchases tires and publishes those tire results .
They do considerable testing and have a history of doing so .
They do not take advertising money and they pay for the tires they test .
In the November 2012 and November 2013 issues of CR they published the results of their annual tire testing of passenger car tires .
NO Maxxis tire has ever scored above the LOWEST 25 % of those tests .
Maxxis ST tires are only made in Asia , an origin that many on this forum wish to avoid due to quality shortcomings .
Unlike most of the other ST tire makers Maxxis does not post the weight of their tires so that they may be compared to the most common brands like Carlisle and Goodyear .
A recent development is that the Maxxis 8008 ST tire is being discontinued .
