Need Water Heater Help

I have a 1988 Terry by Fleetwood and I’ve tried replacing the thermocoupler but the pilot light still doesn’t stay lit and I’ve heard that I would have to replace the gas control valve then. Anyone know where I can find a replacement for a Atwood gas control valve MPD-91043?
  • Have you cleaned the burner tube and orifice in the propane valve?
Was the range burners bright blue flame?
  • Yep enblethen I have propane to everywhere else and the pilot light for the water heater, I did get the main burner to ignite for a second but that was only one time and couldn’t get the same result
  • Are you getting propane to the other appliances? Check range for good clean blue flame.
You could have a bad regulator.
    Replacement
  • Often times a bit of wind would suck the pilot light out, on older models. Using a tooth pick stuck in one side of heater door, would help eliminate this problem. It would allow air to pass through, keeping the pilot lit.

Not what your asking, but I can't help, as to finding the replacement.
