I agree. At some point knowing the weight is beneficial. Otherwise there is a lot of guesswork and assumptions vs. actually knowing what your dealing with.
There have been a lot of good ideas and suggestions however there is real physics involved. Knowing the actual weights would go along way towards resolving the problem.
