The term chucking and bucking was used in the LTL trucking industry in the early '70s when I started my multi state hauling business.
With five different 3/4 one ton srw/drw trucks with different wheelbases and seven different trailers from a small 14' 7k tandem axle cargo (tool trailer) on up to a 34' 22k GN tandem dual triaxle and in between sizes, they all would chuck or buck depending on how the trailers were loaded and which truck was being used.
