I've talked to a couple RVers who ordered new FWs, but had no timeframe. They simply told the dealer to place the order with a "stock" order. Helped the dealer get a better price since there was a quantity order. This is one of the major problems with the RV industry as a whole; ZERO dealer networking, like in the car business. The mfrs keep pushing the "buy local" b.s., yet they won't force their dealers into a network where they can buy and sell amongst themselves to make a sale.
As for financing, if you can get an X-months same as cash deal for a cheaper price, just pay it off when the "deal" expires. Let the cash ride in an investment account and make a few bucks in the mean time. :B Either that, or, if there's no pre-payment penalty, pay it off after the minimum number of payments. Had a friend do this...
