New battery

How big? What is the expected amp draw, how are you going to recharge, gen set or solar trickle charge? Do you dry camp? All these would lead to the proper battery you are looking for. For me, I choose a gel cell battery, I have two gel cell in parallel and that set up suites me. Negligible fumes, no worry about spilling acid. Perhaps a little more info, as stated would get you an ansewer you could actually use!

If you do not camp in the cold and price is no object then buy a LI battery.

Big question. It largely depends on how YOU use one. What is your usual camping style... always hooked up, sometimes hooked up, never hooked up? How are you at battery maintenance? How rich are you?
