Thanks for your replies. Seems like it could be a gamble either way we go. I agree keeping it inside would most likely protect the finish no matter what. Unfortunately it is not an option for us. As for the warranty as a Canadian purchasing in the US, there certainly is questions as to who would cover any issues. The American dealers claim to have a "warranty network" set up across Canada, however, you can bet we won't be the first on their list for repairs! It comes down to the difference in the initial cost. Can be as much as $20'000 savings. We only use our trailer maybe four weeks a season and will only have a one year warranty anyway. The other problem is there seems to be no dealers in western Canada stocking the layout we are after. Regardless of where we buy, it will be a factory order. I don't think the difference in price is worth purchasing locally just to have one year warranty.
