We have two young kids, but we do move every 18 months to 2.5 years due to my job. Moving our house that often is expensive, stressful for everyone, prevents us from settling anywhere, and is just a pain for the family. We also are always traveling between three to six hours on the weekends to go visit family because of family events (I have a big family and my wife is close with her extended family so there is always a wedding, birthday parties, and random family events) so I have a 200,000 dollar home that I barely use. I also travel for work around the SE a decent amount and take my personal vehicle when I travel so this is a way I can bring my family with me as well. Whenever I do get home, more time is spent taking care of a house rather than with my family. We believe that living in an RV will help us spend more time as a family and create some great memories for our children as well as save money for our children to be able to go to college without worrying about the same loans that we have to worry about. We have known a couple of families who live in RV full time and they absolutely love it and they spend a lot of family time together. We are going to homeschool our children regardless so schooling was never an issue for use We have done research on it very several months and isn't something that we are taking lightly and something both me and wife decided would be best for our family.
