So being that I just bought a new 19.5 Cedar Creek, I can talk a little bit about the three or four campers that were in the final running. So for Montana, we had a HighCountry 330RL, versus Montana 3120 RL. For Forest River, we had the Cardinal Luxury 3456 RL.
So the High Country got us wanting to go fifth wheel over a diesel pusher. We love the double single and large bathroom configuration. Ultimate I left high country because of the cable slides. Then the Montana was passed over because it didn’t have a double sink.
So then it was Cardinal Versus Cedar Creek Hathaway 34IK. Cardinal was the clear winner for the inside finish, and just a crazy beautiful Coach. But it’s unloaded weight was a 1000 lbs more and it was about 2.5 feet longer and I want to stay under 15000 fully loaded with my Ram 2018 3500 CC SB SRW HO.
The price was within $500 for the Montana versus the Creek. They are direct competitors. Another thing that Creek done for us is put a booth dinette in. It’s not an option on most fifth wheels. I don’t understand that because a lot of motorhome, that’s what you get.
The Creek is gorgeous and since we got the 19.5 model year it does rival the Cardinal for crazy beautiful and as I was taking delivery I was kind of blown away with everything.
I do like the Creek construction and several of the owners club have towed larger Creeks over 100000 miles. So double sink, Morryde steps, 360 degree lighting, stainless furrion appliances, and the Creek wiring system is very cool. Fit and finish are excellent and even though there has been some customers that aren’t happy. There’s a lot of evidence that the manufacturer is keeping care of it’s owners.
