DRVs have come with several suspension systems. If you can find a good used one with the MOR/ryde independent suspension and electric-over-hydraulic disc brakes, you'll have a lot more trailer than a Solitude or Momentum (and I'm a Grand Design owner). I'm not a big fan of solid axles (especially Lippert) and drum brakes. You could pay a certified RV tech to come and inspect any used unit you are considering. It would be money well-spent. The comment about kid-friendly is valid, though. DRVs are mostly aimed at the "older couple" crowd in terms of floor plans (and I can say that because that's my demographic...).
