Greetings to all of you. My friends call me Rick. The DW..... It depends on her mood.
Yeah, Ft Myers is usually nice this time of year. Not this year. It didn't cool off until around Christmas and it's been raining and/or cold most of the time since then
Oh well, it will come around. It always does.
I bought my TH because I can't take the Summer Heat down here anymore and we were looking at summer houses in Michigan, Indiana or Ohio and we could afford a cheaper House (barely) but the taxes and the other expenses would have KILLED us. We wouldn't have been able to do much other than sit around and watch Matlock re-runs. blech
My buddy from the Army lives between Lansing and Grand Rapids and has 5 acres up there. That's where I have the TH right now. I think. If it hasn't been covered by a snow drift.
So, we can keep the TH there; and no taxes, minimal insurance and not a lot of upkeep (I hope) and fly or drive back and forth. Hopefully. Don't plan to tow it a lot. Maybe some day at some point but I'm happy right now where it is.
That's boring but I thought I'd give you some background.
One of my major concerns is running sewer lines 400 feet to his septic tank. That's gonna be fun. But we'll figure it out.
