I have not even had a flat with many thousands of miles on USMade E thru H GY tires over 12 years.
I'm so confident I'm mine that I don't have a tire monitoring system on the RV tires. How much did I save there?"
@Cummins12V98
Since I put on my Sailun's 3 years ago I quit using my TPMS as well.
I hope I didn't just jinx myself.
For the record I agree the G614 is a superior tire that can't be beat.
However there is now a worthy competitor that is producing a comparable tire at a much more reasonable price.
I concede the Goodyear maybe the better tire, however for me Sailun was the better value. I'll settle for the similar quality tire and save enough to almost buy another full set in the process.
Good post!
I am sure some think I am bashing Sailun, I am not. If GY was not available the Sailuns would be on my RV. I just stick with what works and prefer to buy US Made when possible. For the record I usually go with Michelin or BFG's for my vehicles.
I did just buy Maxxis 13" tires for my Motor Cycle trailer. Seems to be the best choice from what I have read on here.
I too usually stick to what works also, and said in my previous post the G614's worked well. Yes they improved tremendously since 2007, but we still get to read the occasional failure with the G614, but not nearly what it was.
With saying the Sailuns are arguably the better tire, IMO the reviews , and yes the price bear that out . I have yet to read an issue, blowout, separation whatever with the Sailun . I'm sure there will be some as time goes on.
The Sailuns have been on the market now for several years, they really are not the new kid on the block anymore. It seems more ,and more tire dealers are carrying them.
My pocket book is just as important to me as the next guy. If can I buy a quality tire at half the price then I will.
If I tried to stick with USA made, I wouldn't own much.
