Ummmm....no, but it was with the same truck and the same hitch - see signature. The Demco Glide Ride was installed on our previous 2004 Mobile Suites 36RE3. The MorRyde was installed on our daughter and son-in-law's 2011 Mobile Suites 36TKSB3.

Having said that, even if not on the same trailer, I daresay I'm one of not very many individuals on this forum who have towed with both of the pinboxes under discussion, much less with the same truck and hitch. I own neither at this point, so as far as blind brand favoritism, I ain't got no dog in this fight. I'm just relating my personal experience.

Both the MOrRyde and Demco seem to get a lot of good reviews out there. THe only negative reviews I have read on the MorRyde is with heavy pin weights as it seems as though it will compress the dampeners to the point they become less effective

What does pin weight have to do with picking a pin box? My pin box is rated at a trailer's total weight (aren't they all?). My Voltage is 19,000# GVWR and the pin box is rated for 21,000#. Our previous pin box was a TrailAir TRI-GLIDE and it broke. The replacement is a straight TrailAir and we like it.

MorRyde doesn't offer ANY vertical (Z-axis) attenuation. Everything is in the X-Y(horizontal).

Haven't scaled it yet. My intention is to do so in the coming weeks. Like I said, it tows really well. There is really nothing that is telling me that I'm too light on the pin(or heavy). I'm just looking to make some improvements. The only time I get some chucking is on concrete roads with expansion joints in them.

Two things that I have found that can cause chucking even when the trailer tows well.

1st and most common low pin weight percentage.

2nd nose high trailers.

Suggest these be checked and corrected if needed before spending big bucks on a pin box only to find out it will only help but not eliminate the problem.

Too heavy on pin weight will not cause chucking or towing problems. The only reason to reduce pin weight is if the TV does not have enough capacity then you probably should be looking at a higher rated TV. The over the road guys often run pin weight percentages in the 30-40% range.

Perhaps so, but the Y axis on most graphs I see is vertical. The X and Z axes are in the horizontal plane.

Not having any, but contemplating a "flex" pin box for my next FW, I do like the Mor-Ryde in that it has both X & Y shock absorption, while the Demco is only in the X (fore/aft) plane. Would love to see results from a test truck running the same route with each one installed.
