RV manufactures put the minimal load capacity tires on new RV's. Usually the cheapest and typically china bombs!!! When tires blow out and shread they can cause real damage. My last blow out did $1k damage to the RV. If you are lucky, you might only have to replace the trailer fender.

I agree with the comments about good tires - get them.

For me, I had the good fortune to buy both of our toy haulers from good dealers. They fixed everything I couldn't fix for myself. Don't buy from a dealer to get the lowest price - buy from a good dealer even if you have to pay a bit more.

My 2c worth:

Must have:
-slide toppers
-spare tire and tire cover (most are included)
-wheel chocks and levelers
-proper gauge extension cord (30/50amp)and dog bones for each
-water regulator, water filter, potable water hose(white)
-coax cable for TV hook up
-sewage hose and sewage hose wrench
NOTE: Look at your configuration to see where the service outlets are. Some trailers have them at the back while others may have them on forward... this will determine how length of extensions needed

Nice to have:
*electrical extension cord reel
*articulated 5th wheel and/or cushion 5th wheel
*JT Strong-Arm for stability when parked
*Auto/electric levelers
*Patio Shade awning add-on
*Surge protectors (some say this is a Must have item)

Essential:

We added an extra dump gate valve close to the drain cap. With the main valves being cable open and close, we found there was always a little water when we arrived at our campsite. We had the t handle type valve installed. Very small upgrade but worth it to us.

The only problem is the warranty may get well used, but then your unit won't. Seems like warranty work is low,priority so it takes weeks for them to do anything.

- EMS
- TPMS
- Better tires
- Slide toppers

Other things to consider:
- Upgraded pinbox (something with cushioning vs. fixed)
- Better batteries (if you plan on boondocking)

We like them. For us, the positives far out weigh the negatives.

Helps prevent possible water leaks when it rains.
