  • New prices- knock off 35%
Used dealer prices knock off 15%
  • You think $90K is steep, look at Mobile/Elite Suites, New Horizon, Space Craft and such.

You will be much better off to look at a gently used 3 to 5 year old higher end RV. Let someone else take the big depreciation hit on the new rig.

If you do some searching you will likely find dealers advertising those $90k rigs for anywhere from the full $90k down to the $60k range, often followed by a "Make offer" statement. Don't get hung up on MSRPs. Typical of other price ranges also.

    100% agree - - -
My $134,000.00 MSRP was discounted to $80,000.00.. The MSRP is a made up/inflated number to make you feel better about your discount , however high or low it may be ,. . .
AS LONG as your happy with the purchase price at the end of the day , that's all that matters . .
And as my dad use to say " there is an arse for every seat"
  • Got a nice TC for $3500, course I keep adding/replacing stuff but I can't see how I'll ever have more than $5000. No need for insurance for that price, don't feel the need to baby it. I sold my TT for less than half what I paid. Brutal. I'll never buy new again. Used is the way to go.
  • Hi,

I'd prefer to let the first owner pay for the depreciation. My RV cost $35k and was 5 years old when I bought it. New price was pushing the 100 k number.

  • You think that's bad, check out the Jayco Designer that they brought back...almost $150K...
  • New RV's are nice. But, older RV's will do the same thing as a newer one.
They just don't look as modern.
Take care of your present equipment, it can last a long time.

I want to move up to something newer in a couple years. Our 96 Southwind does everything we need it to do. But now that the G/kids are with us we need something with bunks and a slide or two.

Don't be in a rush to buy a new rig, especially if your present one does the job. JMO
