If they look good I would give then 1-2 more years then keep the one you just bought for a spare.

I plan on running my GY "H" tires for 8 years along as they look good.

What is this tire you are referring to? is it a GoodYear or BF Goodrich "BFG" ? 16 ply is that a "G" or "H" rated tire?

GoodYear and BFG are two different companies? 16 ply tires?

Did you install Goodyear G614 LRG 14 ply tires or G114 LRH 16 ply tires?

Elwood, I feel your pain, I had one of my OEM ,(Chinese), blow out coming down I-75. I replaced the one year old tires with Good Year BFG, 16 ply tires. In addition to the one that blew, two others had bubbles so I changed all four at the same time! I hope these last little longer! Have not towed this one at 75 but I did quite a bit when traveling AZ and a few other states with the 2011 Dually at 28-29K combined weight. This pic was with 40mph head winds east on 40 leaving Oklahoma.

I would guess it would be 8 with no head wings.

at the same time you invest in new tires, invest in a tire pressure moniter system. you don't say what "blew" the tire, but a pot hole or piece of road junk may have been to blame and you did not notice it. After all, you started the day with properly inflated tire and nothing could possibly go wrong, RIGHT?

Hercules tires? Anyone here try e'm. I've heard some good things. However I always have bought Michelins, except this go around I bought BF Goodrich (owned by Michelin)
