If you don't plan to off road, don't bother.
Sure the resale is slightly higher...because you paid more up front.
We had one for about 5yr full timing (because we found a used truck that otherwise was a good deal and it happened to have 4x4)
Actually used 4x4 once in that time...because we did something stupid I wouldn't have done with 4x2. Tried to do a pull thru between two parking lots with 6ft of grass between rather than back into the spot and it turned out the grass was over soft mud. Even with 4x2, in 10min we could have had someone give us a yank out for free.
With the pin weight on the rear axle of the truck, it's surprising how much traction you get. I would look at getting the limited slip diff as an option.
