New Truck 4x4 or 4x2 ??
Hi Everyone, Finally going to beak down and buy a new 3/4 ton F-250. I want to buy a 1/2 ton towable 5ver so I know it will take at least a F-250. My big question...do I really need a 4 wheel dri...

I bought my first truck for 5th wheel towing, a 4x4, on the advice of a coworker who told me if I ever really needed it, I would be glad I had it. That came true on a couple of occasions, most prominently when I had to pull my trailer up a steep, wet road to escape suddenly rising waters.
Everyone must decide for themselves how much risk or inconvenience they are willing to take or experience. One only knows in hindsight. I am not sure there is any one "right choice" for everyone, looking into the future.
