B.O. I'm a little confused. I read this to say the Ram 2500 was valued more than the 1 ton... does not pass my logic test.

weight but anything smaller than a one ton is based on
value. They do not base the 1 ton on value so the cost is different because of how the cost is determined.
This makes sense to me because otherwise companies that have large dump trucks or over the road freight haulers or similar, that cost many thousands more than a pickup, would be taxed way too high - so they tax them on the weight instead of what the thing cost or is worth.
