No City Water Flow at Faucets

This problem is on a 2009 Montana 3400RL. Good city water flow and pressure to the 5th wheel but no flow to any of the taps or toilet. Can hear water flowing through a valve that is located in between kitchen cabinets and shower, this is the valve that is in behind and can be seen with a flashlight in behind the pocket door. If this valve fails, where does the water flow? No evidence of any leaks in or around the unit. When we run the fresh water pump all taps work with normal pressure.
To access the failing valve does one have to cut a hole on the back of the kitchen cabinets to replace same?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • I've had the check valve fail where the shore water hose is attached. The waterpump water works, but the valve wouldn't let shore water thru. You have to change the whole water inlet ass'y. Some waterpumps have another check valve near the pump too. Since there's no water on the ground, couldn't be the hotwater blow off valve open or a problem with the water system drain valves.
  • OMG, if old biscuit is correct, you used your fresh water hose on the dirtiest hookup yet. You will need a new hose. or a gallon of bleach
  • You by chance didn't hookup hose to black tank flush vs city water?

I think the valve you are referring to is the backflow preventer on the black waste tank flush line and you are filling your black tank.

Do you have a gravity fill for fresh water tank OR a water panel with switches/valves?
Gravity fill....then you are hooked to black tank flush.

If water panel........check position for switches/valves. Set to fill tank will cause water to flow and nothing inside rig to faucets etc.

And don't turn on your water heater until you get WH tank full and water flowing out of faucets.
  • I am not familiar with your unit, but I know that if you are hearing water flow then it is going somewhere. Is it possible that it is flowing into your fresh water tank possibly due to improper valving or a water fill valve left open accidentally? I have had the check valve on my fresh water pump fail and fill my fresh water tank and overflow when on city water. JMT
