I found some stuff that's pretty good. WaterWeld by J.B Weld. It's an epoxy putty. It comes in a stick that you cut off what you need and kneed it until it changes color. Sticks to anything, good for water gasoline etc. As mentioned I'd drill a small hole at both ends of the crack....... Good luck.
