I have read about everything I have searched about waxing on these forums but am still on the fence. I just bought a 07 Jayco Jay Flight 30.5 RLS fiberglass with decals. I'm sure its never been waxed but it still looks very nice on and the outside and I see little to no oxidation. My understanding is that I wash my RV then I need something like a Porter Cable Variable speed Polisher. I then apply Megiuars Ultimate Compound with the Porter Cable to remove all oxidation. Then I apply whatever wax you guys help me choose.. Is this the proper way to do it and what in your experience is the easiest best waX to go with. I'm hoping to not spend 20 hours getting this done.Thanks for your help!

First off a clean Rig IMO starts with the roof, I wash the roof then the body, I use Mop and Glow with a sponge mop on the roof for a quick coat. Then after the body is dry I use Griots Spray On Wax. Applied by hand.

I like the meguiars cleaner wax. I don't know what kind of buffer you are using but be careful on the decals.If it is orbital you are wasting your time with the polish.

McGuire's has a line of boat products that are great. I used collinite fleet wax this year with great results.

I use Maquires #50 RV/Marine in the blue container. Much easier to find at a boat shop, Bass Pro, West Marine. A few RV places do carry it.

x2 - Maquires #50, West Marine is available online if not local.

I've been using NU-Finish for years on both the truck and trailer including the decals without any problems. Our 10 year old trailer looks great and so do the decals.

I have been using Nu finish on all my units,almost since it,came,on the market . Works effortlessly and holds up well so no,need to,use much harder to,use products! JMHO Jb

Never had an issue using Meguires on graphics. Our high altitude sun is more damaging then any wax could be.

X2 on that. For more years than I care to admit I've been using Meguiar's 50 over lots of decals and NEVER had a problem.

I've found it last longer on my boats (especially the hull)/cars/trucks/blue tractor than any other cleaner wax I've tried.

Meguiar's 50 contains petroleum distillates - see this MSDS sheet.
So does Nu Finish.
