Onan 5500

I recently installed an Onan 5500 gasoline generator and am on my first dry camping trip and it has quit working. It has 6 hours all from exercising. I am thinking fuel pump as I couldn't hear it when I primed it. I did check the voltage to the pump and it had 12 volts when hitting the prime button. Has anyone had similar trouble? Am I suppose to hear the fuel pump? I seem to remember hearing it prime in the past.

    Yes the pump should click when the primer is pushed. Take the hose off of the fuel pump and direct the fuel pump into a container and push the prime button and see if it pumps fuel. Since you have a 5th wheel, what are you using for a fuel tank? Could the pickup hose be too high in the tank? How about the fuel filter, can you blow through it? Just a thought.
