Every side ramp I've seen has been much steeper.
They are steeper, as the side loaders do not have the advantage of the beaver tail. If the OP's bike is 98", it is not going to fit in a side load. Max allowable width is 102" on the outside. Even if the walls are only 2" thick, that would put both ends of the bike rubbing on the walls.
