Pluses on ours: Lots of extra storage and adds to counter space.
Minuses: Blocks access to back half of trailer including fridge. Also, if 2 of you are working on one side and one wants to past them, you have to go around the island.
There are some models that do give fridge access to at least one side with double doors.
We think the pluses outweigh the minuses.
