Taking the truck out of the equation...the determining factor for most people is the load rating of the tires...which is one big reason you see stories about tire issues. IF you upgrade the tires beyond the axle capacity...then the axle carrying capacity becomes the weak link. Adding the truck back in, you can determine what is carrying the weight...how it is distributed.
