Order of pulling gray H2O levers on Cougar 293SAB

Hi,

We just bought a 2010 Keystone Cougar 293SAB. There is no less than two gray water levers and two black water levers on this unit. Which gray lever should be pulled first and which second? This unit has a second 1/2 bath in the back, but only one black lever. How does one run gray through this?

Thanks.

  • In the 1/2 bath, I would bet both the sink and the toilet drain into the black. If it were mine, I would drain from back to front. I'm guessing there are three pipes to hook to? I would presume the gray in front (shower) has the most water which would rinse out the dumps of the black tanks so I would pull that last.
  • You have four dump valves on this 5er as you know. I pull the front black tank then front gray tank (in front compartment). I then pull the galley tank lever located underneath. I do not have a "Y" connector so I pull forward and dump the black/gray bunkhouse tank last. This is not an ideal situation in that the hose does not get rinsed by the gray water but I don't mind. In reality, I don't think it matters which front gray tank you dump first as long as you dump the black tank before both of them. Hope I've answered your question.
  • I have two gray and one black. I empty the lesser used gray first to kind of wet down the hose. Then the black then the other gray to help rinse out the hose. As for the gray in half bath I would bet it runs to on of your other gray tanks.
